About

I always enjoyed school. It was easy for me. Between that and having some stellar high school teachers, I decided to pursue my Master’s in Education and teach high school English. This blog is a reflection of that time in my life—I always said I didn’t want my brain to atrophy, so I wrote a review of every book I read.

In those years I loved the teaching part, but there wasn’t much for full-time jobs, and I got worn down between the inconsistency and the need to keep a part-time job. I substitute taught for four years before throwing in the towel and moving from Eugene, OR to Portland, OR. To start over, I worked as a faceless cog for almost a year at a big corporation before finding salvation at a software company. I sadly don’t read as much and when I do, I don’t post reviews. Perhaps I feel like my brain is doing some heavy lifting during the day.

In my free time, I love to read novels, host costume parties, ride my bicycle, drink coffee and beer, dream of time travel, participate in the 48 Hour Film Project, and hang out with my stellar friends.

Love the interests…time travel and costume parties caught my eye. But I hope you don’t drink your coffee and your beer together.

Loved the End of the World costume you designed. All kinds of rocking.

Thank you! You should have kept yours on the whole time! (Part of the reason mine was relatively skimpy is because I knew it’d be hot in Cowfish.)
